Update from the Campaign Trail

I have been all over LD 10 meeting with constituents, strengthening relationships and making new ones. My campaign team and I have knocked on over 2,000 doors. We will continue door-knocking in the coming weeks leading up to the primary election. I love meeting and talking with people – it’s the best part of my job. I have held multiple coffee talks, been involved in two forums, and attended several community events. There are many things remaining to be done.

The primary election is just around the corner. Ballots have arrived and August 2nd is approaching fast. Make sure to mark the box next to my name on your ballots!

Have A Ton of Fun with Barbara on the Course

Its getting to that time of year again. The grass is green, the air is warm, the sun is out and that means its time for some fun with Barbara. Please consider participating in this wonderful annual event. You can meet with old friends and make some new ones. Sign up is easy. You can send the information via USPS, or you can sign up online. If you aren’t able to golf, consider sponsoring a hole. It is a great way to get involved if the competition is a little too fierce.

Tournament online sign-up, online payment, printable pdf sign-up form, and sponsorship information is available here.

Visiting the Rotary and Chamber of Commerce

This week, I am speaking at the Oak Harbor Noon Rotary Club and the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce as a Senator, not a candidate. Each year I brief the state budget and how it impacts our business organizations. This is something I have been doing ever since I was elected to office. It is important to our business organizations to understand how the budget process works, and I feel honored to be able to share this process with them.

Don’t Miss the Skagit County GOP Salmon Barbecue

This fun event is this Saturday, July 23rd, at the Skagit River Park starting at Noon. They will have great food, a forum, and more! I hope you are able to attend. I know it will be fun.

Have A Great Day!
